Basavaraj. B. Mattimud is the son of Late. Shri Bhimasha Mattimud. He was born in the year 1980 in Kalaburagi and has been a part of this community since. As a young boy, he was always inspired by the stories of the great patriots of the nation and dreamt of working for the progress of the motherland. He was especially inspired and influenced by the nationalist spirit and vision of the Bharatiya Janata Party and became its active member. This one act changed his life forever and set him on a momentous journey towards an influential role in the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Successful completion of various missions entrusted to him by the Bharatiya Janata Party has earned him higher responsibilities. He is a Zilla Panchayat member and has nurtured a flawless reputation among his peers and the society. He is a part of the community and works tirelessly for their welfare by undertaking various development activities. He has always been well informed and has established a deep and lasting connect with party workers, his peers and the community.

Despite his hectic schedule and numerous engagements, Mr. Basavaraj interacts with specially challenged children regularly and provides them free meals, blankets, and uniforms. He takes his social responsibility very seriously and has distributed three wheelers free of charge to the differently abled children. Mr. Basavaraj is secular in his beliefs and has granted funds for the construction of monasteries, temples, and mosques. He has been a part of medical camps for cancer and heart patients and believes in providing and free health checkups for the poor. Mr. Basavaraj is very vocal about encouraging small business and has provided financial assistance to needy families.

Mr. Basavaraj has portrayed his quality as a leader since his college days and has been a part of the BharatiyaJanata Party from the age of 15. As a graduate of Arts, his love for music comes as no surprise. He is also a cricket fan and enjoys traveling with family.
